Steps to Work trainees celebrated at Winter Graduation Ceremony

26th January, 2024

We were delighted to celebrate the achievements of graduates from the Steps to Work programme at our Winter Graduation Ceremony this week.

22 talented trainees took a giant leap into the next chapter of their lives. The Strawberry Field Steps to Work programme has empowered them and set them on a path towards paid work, education or training.

The ceremony was a true celebration of achievements, filled with pride and joy. One of the most heart-warming moments was witnessing past trainees, now proud employees of Strawberry Field's Imagine More Café, skilfully preparing and serving delicious canapés. Their journey from trainees to integral team members is truly inspiring!

Thank you to all the parents, carers, employers, and staff who came together to applaud the graduates' accomplishments. There was a real sense of community and support, showcasing the commitment to fostering growth and development.

Special thanks to Julia Baird, honorary president of Strawberry Field, Lizzie Acker, ambassador to Steps to Work and Vice Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, Robert Owen. Many thanks also to our business partners who provide invaluable opportunities for trainees, including The Beatles Story, Oriel Studios, National Museums Liverpool, John Lewis, Vizbox, Leaf, The Entertainer, Shakespeare North Playhouse, Arcains, Born to Bake, John Lennon Airport and Gravity Max.

We eagerly anticipate the bright futures that lie ahead for these graduates. Here's to new beginnings, continuous learning, and the promise of exciting career paths!
