Regular activities and events

We love welcoming people and are often around in the café or gardens for a chat; you can also meet us as part of our many activities on site. These mostly take place in the downstairs Prayer Space (a lift is available).

Monday 2pm-3pm, Prayer Team meeting: Want to be one of those praying regularly for the work at Strawberry Field? Then visit us on Monday afternoons and share in this time together.

Tuesday 10.30am-12.30pm, Hopefulness Course (Six weeks): Each course aims to help participants to develop a hopefulness ‘toolkit’, including breathing and meditation techniques. We look at the sources of hopefulness and ways in which it may be encouraged and nurtured. The course runs as a rolling programme throughout the year. The next Hopefulness Course will start on Tuesday 3 October 2023. To find out more, contact Karen Carter at karen.carter@salvationarmy.org.uk

Alternate Fridays 12noon-2pm, Love to Move: A fun, chair-based exercise session for older people and those living with dementia. First Sunday of the Month, ‘The Gathering’: A time to get together and to explore a theme in creative ways as part of our aim to, ‘be an inclusive community with God at the centre. Welcoming all to connect, be still, create and grow’. The September (Sep 3) and October (Oct 1) Gatherings will run from 6pm-7.30pm in the Strawberry Field Café Space. After the clocks go back on Sunday, 29 October, the Autumn/Winter 2023/24 Gatherings will run from 5pm-6.30pm.

There are many other opportunities to get involved with the Fresh Expression.
