Regular activities and events

We love welcoming people and are often around in the café or gardens for a chat; you can also meet us as part of our many activities on site. These mostly take place in the downstairs Prayer Space (a lift is available).

Monday 2pm-3pm, Prayer Team meeting: Want to be one of those praying regularly for the work at Strawberry Field? Then visit us on Monday afternoons and share in this time together.

Tuesday 1pm-2pm, Hopefulness Course (One hour for six weeks): Each course aims to help participants to develop a hopefulness ‘toolkit’, including breathing and meditation techniques. We look at the sources of hopefulness and ways in which it may be encouraged and nurtured. The course runs as a rolling programme throughout the year.

Tuesday 6pm-7.30pm, Alpha course: A series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith

Wednesday Noon, Midweek Meditation: A 15-minute reflection, offering a time of reflection and the opportunity to ‘be still’.

Wednesday 2pm-3pm, Shared Reading: One of our trained Reader Leaders reads an extract from a novel, short story or poem. Members of the group then consider what they’ve heard but there’s no pressure on people to read aloud or speak – if you prefer to simply listen, that’s fine.

Friday 10.30-11.30am, Ukulele Group: A fun session for adults learning the ukulele and making music together

First Sunday of the Month 5.30pm-7pm, ‘The Gathering’: A time to get together and to explore a theme in creative ways as part of our aim to, ‘be an inclusive community with God at the centre. Welcoming all to connect, be still, create and grow’.

There are many other opportunities to get involved with the Fresh Expression.
