We are thrilled to announce that Strawberry Field has won UniTemps LJMU External Engagement of the Year Award. The award was accepted by Lynne Furlong, who runs our Learning Hub and champions the students who join us at Strawberry Field.

Lynne has done wonderful work with Liverpool John Moores University students, in helping them gain experience to build their CV and stand out from the crowd when looking for employment.

The awards saw both students and employers awarded for their contribution to part-time work opportunities with Unitemps. Alongside our win,  Eilis who previously interned at Strawberry Field won Intern of the Year. We are so proud of Eilis and her work to improve sustainability here at Strawberry Field. There was a record number of nominations for Intern of the Year and the competition was stiff, so this award is a true testament to Eilis and her work.

In partnership with local education providers, the Learning Hub provides meaningful placements for students from a wide range of studies by offering the opportunity to experience working life within a fast-paced third sector environment. In return, we benefit from a wealth of knowledge, creativity and enthusiasm, which we see as a huge benefit to our business.

“I truly believe this is a wonderful and important project.”
