Congratulations to Megan who has found paid employment at John Lewis!

Megan had her second placement at John Lewis' 'A Place to Eat' following a placement in the Strawberry Field Imagine More café. Over the course of her placement, Megan has blossomed into a confident, capable young woman, gaining essential hospitality skills that are shaping her future. Embracing every opportunity, Megan has thrown herself into learning, growing at every turn.

Her placement also gave Megan the chance to build new friendships and expand her social circle. Megan's success highlights the importance of inclusivity in the workplace, showcasing the value of creating opportunities for neurodiverse individuals to fully participate in all aspects of society.

Debbie Fletcher, partner and branch manager, praised Megan, calling her "a breath of fresh air and a real asset to John Lewis." Her line manager, Daniel Holbrook, added "Megan always has a smile on her face and comes in with a positive attitude each shift. She has become a big part of the team."

As for Megan, she said, "I finally feel seen. I have a friend, and I know I can do this - I believe in myself." Megan would also like to thank her mentor at John Lewis Carmel, who has supported and encouraged her on placement.

Congratulations on the new role, Megan!

“I truly believe this is a wonderful and important project.”
