Visit Strawberry Field

Strawberry Field, the iconic site immortalised by John Lennon and the Beatles invites you to step beyond the famous red gates and immerse yourself in the inspiring history, world-famous music, rich culture and Strawberry Field magic.

Our world beyond the red gates in Liverpool is waiting to be explored by you - stories are to be told, history is to be unravelled, music is to be adored and spirits uplifted.

At the heart of Liverpool tourism, Strawberry Field offers an authentic visitor attraction with responsible tourism running central throughout everything we do.

Strawberry Field Exhibition

Explore our exhibition and hear exclusive stories of John Lennon’s early years from those closest to John, and learn about the history of the site and The Salvation Army; including stories from the former children’s home and the inspiration behind the famous song Strawberry Fields Forever.

The Strawberry Field Experience

Dine and socialise in our cafe and enjoy the delicious dishes we have on offer. Stop by our shop that stocks a wide range of authentic John Lennon and Strawberry Field merchandise - the perfect treat for yourself or a loved one.

Escape to our gardens, a place of complete tranquility and reflection. Follow our path around the grounds and walk the same steps John Lennon walked as a child. John Lennon once described Strawberry Field as paradise, and it is clear to see how and why this became a huge inspiration to John as a young boy and in his later life.

Support Strawberry Field

All sales through the exhibition, cafe and shop fund the Steps at Strawberry Field programmes. A series of individually tailored courses aimed at providing employment skills, work experience and opportunities to volunteer, which empowers those living with learning difficulties or other barriers to employment in the local Liverpool City Region.

By visiting Strawberry Field you are making a real difference to the lives of young adults in our local community and play a part in helping us get one step closer to allowing more young people to realise their potential and fulfil their dreams.

"It’s a wonderful idea that The Salvation Army is going to cultivate youngsters in the precious soil of Strawberry Field."

Julia Baird, Honorary President
