Music Rocks programme

Another fantastic initiative – and very appropriate to Strawberry Field – is Music Rocks, a music-based mentoring initiative that helps young people ‘perform higher’. Within the setting of a music workshop, young people develop new skills through contemporary music, expand their creativity and use music to re-engage and manage personal development. Trainees can try out different instruments, play basic chords and riffs, sing, record a CD and learn about stage set-up, performing their own music and recording their own material.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army works in 128 countries around the world, demonstrating Christian faith, hope and love through practical support and friendship to people of all ages, backgrounds and needs.

“The plans to open Strawberry Field to the public for the first time - so people can see a unique exhibition about the home, how and why the song was written by John, and allow visitors to explore the grounds as John did as a child - is very exciting.”
