Come step through the red gates and into the famous site that inspired John Lennon as a child.
In response to the UK Government’s recent roadmap announcement, we plan on safely re-opening our iconic red gates and welcoming visitors once again from Monday 17th May. Tickets must be booked in advance here and you can read about our Covid safety measures here
Strawberry Field, the iconic site immortalised by The Beatles and John Lennon, now serves as a unique addition to Beatles tourism, with responsible tourism at its heart.
Through our exhibition, learn about the history of the site; including stories from the former children’s home and about how John came to write the famous song. The café is a place to socialise and enjoy delicious dishes and the shop stocks a wide range of authentic merchandise. The gardens, where a young John Lennon played as a child, offer a calm space for reflection.
All sales through the exhibition, café and shop fund a Steps to Work programme, aimed at young adults aged 18-25 with learning difficulties or other barriers to employment.
